In the Beginning...
George Hillhouse Sr. was born and raised in Cherokee County, Georgia. In 2007, He was given an opportunity to sell insurance but had no desire to be an "insurance salesman". It didn't take long for George to realize that to better serve his clients, he needed to become an independent agent - allowing him to offer products from any carrier he chooses to do business with. Within a couple of years, George started his own independent agency. As a clear vision and mission for his business formed, Refuge Insurance Advisors was born!
